I am not part of a faith tradition that puts much focus on the "complete" season. But, I personally have over the years developed some personal "traditions" that enrich this time for me. One of my "favorites" that I began last year. Ash weds.- the metronome(sp) goes on the dining room table.(symbolic of the "countdown to my redemption". Maudy Thursday- Chalice and Paten is placed on table.(Last Supper). Good Friday- Crown of Thorns replaced cup and plate. Resurrection Sunday- I don't have anything really "religious" except I place gifts for everyone w/a a personal note that I have prayed and fasted about that the Spirit will give me the words that each loved one needs to be encouraged.
