Well, I have fallen far behind in my reading; I haven’t disciplined myself to have a scheduled time to read. I tried my lunch break but it is too easy to get pulled into meetings or to generally get distracted.

I have talked about reading the Bible for a few years to people and I have known many people who have fallen behind only to quit when the distance seems insurmountable. I have resolved not to do that.

But to keep up with my “Through the Bible” posts, I am going to post on what I am reading and not actually where we should be in the schedule. I want to show people that it is possible to catch up while still giving the Word of God the attention that it deserves.

So, next week I hope to return to posting “Through the Bible” I hope you all hold me to it.
